A motorcycle, a baby cat and a beautiful story to tell

A small cat has managed to monopolize the prominence this Tuesday of a few people from Ceuta who listened attentively to the meows coming from a motorcycle located in the Immaculate building, also known as the Pharmacists building. They did not know how to help the animal, others gave up and ended up returning to their morning tasks, until our protagonist appeared.

Carmen Cárceles, a resident of Ceuta, declares herself a “cat lover”. That morning he was heading to the beach when he came across the aforementioned situation. It is not the first time that he has rescued these animals, so he knew how to act. He stayed for about 20 minutes with his knees dug into the asphalt and his hand inside the bike, trying to lure the scared cat. No matter how complicated the situation was, he did not give up for a single second, since “leaving the poor cat abandoned to its fate was not an option,” he explains.

Finally, with extreme patience, he managed to rescue the cat by pulling it out suddenly, gently and precisely. The neighbors who witnessed the rescue were amazed at the tenacity of Cárceles, how he covered his hands with grease, how he moved on the ground… Such was the case that one of the neighbors, Tomás Partida, decided to document the moment by taking out a photo of the rescuer and the frightened rescued, and shared it with El Faro de Ceuta so that we give visibility to this kind and kind gesture towards our cat friends.

All this act ended with the kitten made available to the Cat Community. Cárceles thought about taking the little cat, moreover, “if I get to spend another half hour with him, I’ll keep it”, but he already has a cat that he also rescued from the street, so he prefers to give another person the opportunity to Add a new furry member to your family.
