Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts around the world, today we come to you with an urgent prayer request for our beloved JoJo, a sweet and brave little girl who has been courageously battling Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) since her diagnosis in December 2022. Her fight has been nothing short of extraordinary, but right now, her family is facing an unimaginable challenge, and we are asking for your support, your love, and most importantly, your prayers.
JoJo’s journey began just over a year ago when she was diagnosed with DMG, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. From the very first moment, JoJo and her family have faced an uphill battle. But despite everything, JoJo has continued to fight with an incredible spirit, bringing joy and love to all who know her. She has shown bravery beyond her years, and through it all, her family has stood by her side, offering unwavering love and support.
However, JoJo’s health has taken a heartbreaking turn recently. Her most recent MRI, taken just last week, revealed devastating news. The tumor, which had previously shown signs of being somewhat stable, has grown significantly since her last scan in June. This increase in size has forced the medical team to make the difficult decision to place JoJo on hospice care. The growth of the tumor and the severity of her condition have left her family grappling with the harsh reality that time is running out.
Her mother, in a post on Facebook, shared an update with their loved ones, “JoJo is still doing about the same, she was awake a little less today, but she managed to feed her baby sister yesterday and today. She was a bit sassy the last 2 days, really wanting me to just sit and hold her hand.” These words, although filled with sadness, also remind us of JoJo’s incredible strength and the love she continues to share with those around her. Even in the face of immense pain and uncertainty, JoJo’s personality shines through. Her desire to connect, to care for others, and to feel the warmth of her mother’s hand is a beautiful testament to her enduring spirit.
Despite the grim circumstances, JoJo’s doctors have been nothing short of amazing. They have reassured JoJo’s family that there is no rush in making any decisions, and when the time comes, JoJo will be sent home to spend her remaining days surrounded by the love and care of her family. This is a bittersweet comfort for her family, as they know that JoJo deserves nothing less than the peaceful, loving environment that only her family can provide.
