Brinley is fighting for her life. Intubated and battling a severe infection that has left her tiny body exhausted, every moment feels like a lifetime. Our hearts are heavy with fear, and the uncertainty of each passing hour weighs on us as we stand by her side, praying for her to find the strength to keep fighting. We don’t know what the future holds, and every step we take feels like we’re walking on fragile ground, unsure of what comes next.

At this moment, Brinley’s recovery is uncertain. Her body is fragile, and the infection has taken a toll that we couldn’t have predicted. Her heart surgery, something that had been planned and hoped for, has been postponed until her body is strong enough to endure the procedure. Each day, we wait, hoping for the moment when she will show signs of recovery, when her strength will return, and when we can finally take a breath and know that she is going to be okay. But that moment has not yet come, and we are left holding onto hope, grasping for any signs that things will get better.

This Christmas, the joy and warmth we had hoped for feel impossible. We had dreamed of celebrating as a family, creating memories with our daughters, Blakely and Brinley, and enjoying the season of togetherness. Instead, we find ourselves in a hospital room, facing the unimaginable. My heart aches not only for Brinley, who is struggling so much, but also for our other daughter, Blakely. She deserves a normal holiday, a time filled with laughter, joy, and family traditions. Instead, she’s been thrust into the uncertainty of our situation, and my heart breaks for her as well.
We are taking this journey hour by hour, trying to stay strong for both of our daughters. It’s hard to watch one child fight so desperately for her life while the other is caught in the shadows of fear. Yet, in the midst of this heartbreaking battle, there is still hope. We hold on to love, to the bond that connects us as a family, and to the belief that Brinley will find the strength she needs to overcome this. Love is the only thing that can guide us through these uncertain times, and it is what we hold onto when we feel like we are losing our way.

The pain of seeing your child in such a fragile state is something no parent should ever have to experience. It feels as though our world has been turned upside down, and each day spent in the hospital is a reminder of just how precious life is. But through it all, Brinley’s strength shines through. Even in her most vulnerable moments, she continues to fight with everything she has, and that is what keeps us going. Every small step, every sign of improvement, gives us a glimmer of hope, a reason to keep believing that she will make it through.
As we sit by her side, we continue to pray for Brinley’s recovery, for her strength, and for the healing of her fragile body. We are praying that the day will come when we can breathe easier, when her surgery can happen, and when we can see her recover and thrive once again. But most of all, we are praying that she knows how loved she is, that she feels the warmth of our love surrounding her, even in the midst of her battle.
We are also asking for your prayers. Your support, your kindness, and your thoughts mean everything to us. It’s been a difficult and overwhelming time, and knowing that we have a community of people lifting us up brings us comfort. Please continue praying for Brinley. Please keep her in your thoughts and your hearts, as we all fight alongside her. Your prayers give us strength, and they remind us that we are not alone in this journey.

We know the road ahead will not be easy, but we are determined to face it together, as a family, with love, hope, and faith guiding us every step of the way. We will continue to fight for Brinley, and we will continue to support Blakely, as she too navigates this uncertain path.
Thank you for being a part of our story, for offering your prayers, and for sharing in this fight. Your support means more to us than words can express.
