On May 15th, 2025, our beautiful baby boy, Syire, was born. The moment he entered this world, we knew he was meant to be a part of our family, a miracle we had longed for. Syire was our rainbow baby, a blessing that filled our hearts with joy and excitement for the future. But shortly after his birth, we learned that our journey as parents would be one filled with unexpected challenges. Syire was diagnosed with CHARGE Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that occurs as a spontaneous mutation during early development. This condition was not detectable during pregnancy and is not inherited, meaning we had no way of knowing what lay ahead.

CHARGE Syndrome brings with it a series of serious medical challenges, each one more difficult than the last. Syire was born with a Giant Omphalocele, a condition where some of his organs are outside his body, covered only by a thin membrane. This required immediate attention and surgical intervention to ensure his organs were protected. Along with the Omphalocele, Syire also faces Pulmonary Hypertension, a life-threatening condition where his heart struggles to pump blood to his lungs. His severe breathing difficulties have left him ventilator-dependent as his lungs are not strong enough to support his breathing on their own.
As if this wasn’t enough, Syire is also undergoing additional genetic testing, as doctors work tirelessly to understand the full extent of his condition. Every day brings new challenges, new uncertainties, and new questions that we don’t have answers to yet. The complexity of Syire’s situation is overwhelming, and the doctors are doing their best to keep up with the many facets of his care, but each day is a constant battle for his health.

Syire’s medical needs are intensive, and his condition has placed an incredible emotional and financial strain on our family. His parents are doing everything they can to be there for him. Every day, they drive over an hour each way to be with him in the hospital, ensuring that he has the love and support he needs during such a critical time. At home, they care for their toddler, which makes it even more difficult to balance the demands of hospital visits and home life. It feels like a constant juggling act, with no clear answers and no end in sight.
Compounding the situation, Syire’s mom recently lost her job due to government layoffs. The loss of her income has made an already difficult situation even harder. Being out of work has allowed her to spend more time by Syire’s side, but it has also made it nearly impossible to keep up with the growing pile of medical bills, travel expenses, and basic living costs. We are now at risk of losing our home.

To make things even more complicated, Syire will need 24/7 care as his condition is so severe. His sibling cannot safely attend daycare due to the risk of illness, and this has only added to the already challenging financial burden. We are desperately trying to find remote work opportunities, hoping this will allow us to stay home, care for both of our children, and continue fighting for Syire’s health. But opportunities have been limited, and the stress of the situation weighs heavily on us every day.
This is where we need your help.
We are humbly asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. The financial strain of Syire’s medical needs, the cost of travel to the hospital, and the day-to-day expenses of raising two children while one of them requires constant care is overwhelming. Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover medical expenses, housing, travel, and basic living costs, so we can focus on giving Syire and his sibling the care they deserve.

We understand that times are tough for many, but if you can, we ask you to consider helping us through this journey. Every penny raised will go directly to Syire’s care and helping our family navigate this challenging chapter. Your support means the world to us, and your kindness will help us stay strong, focused, and able to be there for Syire as he fights with everything he has.
Please, join us in supporting Syire and our family during this critical time. Your donations, your prayers, and your kind thoughts are all incredibly appreciated. Together, we can help ensure that Syire receives the care he needs to continue his fight for life, and that we can keep our family together as we face these overwhelming challenges.

Thank you for being part of Syire’s journey. No amount is too small, and every act of kindness makes a difference. Your support will help us keep hope alive, and with your help, we can give Syire the future he deserves.
