Tomorrow, our baby walks into a hospital room knowing pain — before he’s old enough to know fear.
Tomorrow, we step into another round of the hardest fight imaginable with our precious baby boy, Castiel. At just a tender age, he’s already been forced to face more challenges than any child ever should.

Tomorrow, he will be admitted for back-to-back stem cell transplants—six weeks in the hospital, a short breath of air at home, and then another six weeks. This treatment is his only hope, but the journey ahead feels terrifying and overwhelming.

The truth is, this road terrifies us all. As parents, there is nothing more heartbreaking than watching your child go through something so painful, so cruel.

Castiel’s life, like so many other children facing cancer, is not one of carefree joy and play. Instead, it’s defined by hospital visits, sleepless nights, and an endless cycle of medical appointments and treatments.

And yet, despite all of this, Castiel’s spirit continues to shine brightly. His journey, while filled with pain and fear, is also filled with moments of immense strength and resilience.

As his parents, we are in awe of the little boy he’s become. He is resilience wrapped in the softest cheeks and brightest eyes. He is a miracle, a fighter, and someone who continues to teach us what true strength looks like.

But this journey, as much as it has tested us, has also shown us that our baby is stronger than we ever thought possible.

Castiel’s diagnosis came like a thunderclap, a moment that would forever change the course of our lives. Like many families who face cancer, our world was turned upside down.

We went from celebrating the small milestones of everyday life to a harsh new reality: a reality filled with needles, surgeries, treatments, and constant fear. For a child who should have been laughing and playing with friends, this new world of doctors and IVs became the only one he knew.
