Then, just a few days ago, Annsley graciously shared an update on their journey, and her words struck a chord in my heart. She granted permission to share her thoughts, and it’s a story that needs to be told—a testament to unwavering faith and the relentless fight for a miracle.
“Nothing prepares you for hearing the words, ‘Your son has between 6–12 months to live,’” Annsley wrote. It was a blow no parent should ever have to endure, but this was the devastating reality the Watts family faced when they arrived in Birmingham for what they thought was a routine visit for a simple cold. Within an hour of arriving at the ER, their entire world changed. The news from the doctors was grim—there was no cure for EB, and Ridge’s life expectancy was limited.
