A heartbroken man holds an 11-month-old baby elephant in his arms, his eyes filled with tears when he realized that the little creature was no longer breathing. Just because of his own careless action – a moment of carelessness that he can never forgive himself for – it was recorded as leaving forever.
The elephant was his joy, his closest friend, who had been strong for many months. Every day, the two of them, “father and son”, were together, sunbathing, eating and playing together in the field. However, a small mistake took everything away. He did not expect that letting the elephant play near a dangerous area would lead to this tragedy.
When he discovered it, it was too late. The voice calling the elephant back in his throat blended with the sound of the afternoon wind blowing through the forest. He descended to the small body, caressing each fold of skin, each soft ear, as if wishing for some color that could bring the creature back to life. Silence filled the space, only the man’s cry echoed in the deep forest – the cry of regretful pain, of boundless love that had now turned into the pain of eternal loss.
