The lion reacts quickly and tries to shake the barrel off his head by running around.
Visitors watch as the lion jumps and runs even towards people at the edge of the enclosure.
The video concludes with the lion looking really tired as he lies on the ground, exhausted from his failed attempts to free himself.
According to the creator of the video, the lion was eventually freed from the barrel and was not harmed.
He said: “To make feeding a little more exciting for the lions, the keepers put meat in a barrel with two small openings.
The other lions look perplexed and one even seems to be trying to help his friend by standing on the barrel.
“The lions had to get the meat out of the barrel through the holes. Instead, one lion stuck his head in a hole and got stuck.
“He was walking around and collided with some objects. He got tired, but he is basically fine.
“After the closure, a vet came and anesthetized the lion. The barrel was cut open and the lion did not suffer any injuries. He is happily walking around again.”
