When it goes into production in mid-2026, it is expected to be called the IONIQ 3, a smaller and more affordable version of the IONIQ 5.
Hyundai is expected to launch the electric hatchback next spring, with an official launch in Europe scheduled for September 2026. According to Hyundai Europe chief Xavier Martinet, the IONIQ 3 could be the perfect electric hatchback.
